LVUSD Educator Leadership Pathway
Instructional Rounds Leadership

Overview: 

Using City and Elmore's Instructional Rounds framework  and applying the facilitation skills of Adaptive Schools educators  will facilitate a group of 10-20 educators through the Rounds process at an LVUSD school site. 

Pre-requisites: 

  1. Adaptive Schools 4 Day Foundation Training Completed 

  2. Complete AS Refresher on August 9th and August 11th (This, plus asynchronous reading will provide the leader with 19.5 hours of paid PD credit. 

Requirement: 

  1. Facilitate Rounds for a minimum of two days on a school campus through coordination with the site Principal. 

  2. For each Rounds administered, complete the reflective template linked below and submit to Dr. Ryan Gleason at rgleason@lvusd.org.

Compensation: 

  1. 19.5 hours of Paid Professional Development for completing the 8.9 and 8.11 Refresher Trainings. 

  2. $657 Stipend for planning, coordinating, and facilitating a minimum of two Rounds events at an LVUSD school site during the 21-22 school year. Sub days will be provided for all attendees.

  3. Co-presenters can be selected, each will receive the full stipend. 

  4. Selected candidates must have the recommendation of their principal. Up to two candidates per school site can be selected for this annual opportunity (30 Total).
